Position Overview: The TMS Regional Technician Trainer is responsible for onboarding, training, and maintaining staff to include technicians, care coordinators, and medical assistants on TMS process and procedures to include traveling to facilitate the TMS training needs for all clinics. Under the direction of the Regional Medical Director, the Regional Technician Trainer is responsible to update and maintain all training resources, update and maintain relevant and current trainer material, and conduct hands-on initial and recurring competency evaluations. Additionally, the TMS Regional Technician Trainer provides direct patient care utilizing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation to include qEEG guided TMS.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Train new staff and maintain existing staff on TMS/qEEG machines, clinical and operational procedures, documentation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Under the direction of the Regional Medical Director, assist with tracking ongoing competencies for assigned TMS technicians.
- Administers TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) treatments and supports patient during treatments using positive communication and reinforcement to ensure optimal results are achieved.
- Monitor for adverse effects and notify the doctor or provider. Assist in the management of adverse effects including seizures.
- Complete all required clinical and administrative documentation to accepted standards of practice, accurately, legibly, and by established timelines on electronic health record (EHR) system and paper as needed.
- Assist with gathering rating scales and other assessments as directed by overseeing psychiatrist and FCC minimum requirements.
- Collaborate with providers to ensure understanding and usage of proper treatment protocols.
- Provide psychoeducation curriculum to patients, communicate, and educate patients on importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
- Where applicable, operate and control settings of electrophysiologic recording device. Measure, calculate, and log recorded electrophysiologic information. Operate and control settings of electrophysiologic recording device. Measure, calculate, and log recorded electrophysiologic information.
- Follow clinical and operational processes in accordance with workflows and SOPs.

Travel:
- To regional sites, may need occasional travel outside region.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two years TMS Tech experience or equivalent required.
- EHR experience preferred.
- FCC TMS certification required. Training in Brainsway, MagVenture, Appollo and MeRT required. TMS training certification required after 90 days of employment.
- Current driver’s license required.
